Alex Gonzales, Pastor

Alex has served churches in Texas as a Student Pastor and Associate Pastor before coming to Hickory Tree in 2008.  He is a student at Criswell College and serves the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention in various capacities.  He loves football and more football.  He also enjoys reading in his spare time, as well as watching the History Channel and Discovery Channel and don't forget ESPN.  He also enjoys epic movies along with inspired by true stories movies.  The most important time spent for Alex is with his true love Tabitha and his two children, Cody and Avery.  They live in McKinney, Tx and love serving Hickory Tree Baptist Church and the city of Balch Springs/Mesquite, Tx.

James Brown, Youth Minister

James Brown has served on the staff at Hickory Tree as Student Pastor since January 2009.  He works as a bi-vocational minister fulfilling his full time work with Atmos Energy as a Field Technician.  He enjoys spending time with teenagers, playing softball, working with his hands and most of all spending time with his wife Hilary and his little girl Riley.  James looks forward to what God is going to do in the lives of the teenagers he has the privilege ministering to on a weekly basis.
